Tennis blanks Randolph

Senior Peter Muncey led a Duxbury blowout in a 5-0 win over Randolph in the first round of the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional tennis championships.

Muncey led a Duxbury sweep in the singles with a 6-0/6-0 victory at No. 1, while classmate Connor O’Keefe dispatched his opponent, 6-2/6-0, in the No. 2 slot. Freshman Fred Clifford made it three straight wins in singles with a 6-0/6-0 win at No. 3

Doubles was equally effective with Erik Schneider and Kevin Coakley hardly missing a shot in their quick 6-0/6-0 win, while Will Trieble and Will Kingsbury at No. 2 doubles duplicated the effort of their teammates in their 6-0/6-0 win.
