Senior captain Lauren Bittrich was the sole Duxbury runner in the top 15 positions, as the Lady Dragons dropped a 19-44 decision to the Harborwomen last Tuesday on Hingham’s 2.9-mile course. Bittrich finished second just four seconds off the winning pace. Other runners included senior captain Caroline Manning (16th place) with a time of 22:12, followed by Duxbury senior Kara O’Leary (18th place) with a time of 22:54. Two more Hingham runners came in before Duxbury junior Caroline Bittrich (Fourth Duxbury runner) finished in 23:10. Junior Rachel Button 24:03 (5th Duxbury), junior Emily Mutkoski (24:07), and Julie Weiss (6th Duxbury) 24:13 led the final six Duxbury runners that included sophomore Jackie Hanrahan 25:13, senior Christine Doherty 25:57, and freshman Rosie Doherty 27:23. |
