Back by popular demand, Duxbury Youth Softball is again offering Preseason Softball Clinics. Girls in grades 3-6 can now register for Softball Fridays, scheduled for March 6-27 at Baseball Plus in Marshfield. We have expanded our offering for girls in grades 7-9, who can now register for Softball Wednesdays, March 11 – April 1, with Gorilla Baseball at JunglePlex in Plymouth. Don’t miss the opportunity! Both programs are limited to the first 30 girls to enroll before March 1. Registration, cost, and deadlines are outlined on our website: duxburyyouthsoftball.org. DYS needs umpires, and we want to help you become one. We are sponsoring (at no cost to you) an ASA Umpire Certification Course and offering it to girls in grades 7-12. In order to umpire DYS games, you must complete this training course. All DYS umpires are compensated for the games they umpire. Sign up today for this free training/certification. The first class is March 4. Registration and detailed schedule are available at duxburyyouthsoftball.org. On-line Registration continues for the 2009 Spring Season. Girls in grades 1-9 are invited to enroll at duxburyyouthsoftball.org. Sign up today and avoid the late fee (after March 1) Duxbury Youth Softball is announcing a logo contest to provide a new logo for the entire league. The winning design will be printed on this year’s team t-shirts (all 300 of them), as well as the website. Your entire family will also get to go to the yet-to-be-announced Duxbury Youth Softball night at the Brockton Rox for FREE (tentatively scheduled for June 26). Go to duxburyyouthsoftball.org for details. Good luck. If you have questions, call Bill Farquharson at 781-934-7036. |
