UConn freshman Sara Trevisani (DHS ’08) was the coxswain on two boats at the 10th annual Head of the Riverfront Regatta in Hartford last week. She coxed the Women’s College Novice 4+ that came in 4th, and also coxed the Women’s College varsity 4+ that came in 11th out of 18. Hobart & William Smith freshman Emily Desmery (DHS ‘08) rows for the William Smith Herons. Desmery stroked the Novice 8 that came in first at their first regatta: the “Challenge on the Canalâ€. Desmery also rowed in the Varsity 1 eight that came in third after Ithaca and Rochester. Freshman Bret Bartlett (DHS ’08) has made the baseball team as a pitcher/infielder for St. Anselm’s in NH… Fairfield University senior Chris Ajemian (DHS ’05) has been named one of five captains for the Stags 2009 lacrosse team. The midfielder finished the 2008 season second on the team in points with 22. He netted a team-leading 15 goals, including a game-winner, while also dishing out seven assists. Senior Caitlin Murphy (DHS ‘05), rowing in the Women’s Varsity 8 for Bates College, finished first at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta held in Worcester on Sunday. Her boat beat the women’s crew teams from Holy Cross, Colby, WPI ,Tufts, CT College, Clark, and Wellesley. |
