The Duxbury Youth Soccer Association will be conducting a Minisoccer coaches meeting and parent orientation/training session on Sunday, Sept. 7 from noon-2 p.m. at the Coppens Field Complex at Chandler School (in case of inclement weather, the Chandler School Gymnasium will be used.) The session will provide all coaches with fun and effective ways to teach our young players the game of soccer. Coaches should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, and bring your cleats. No previous soccer experience is necessary. A coach from each team must attend as the session will also be used to brief all coaches on this season's changes to the structure of the U6 and U8 programs. DYSA's Minisoccer progams are for kids born between Aug. 1, 2000 and July 31, 2004. Although the discounted registration deadline has passed, late registrations are still being accepted for these age groups. To learn about and register online for Minisoccer and all of DYSA's other programs, visit the Web site at duxburyyouthsoccer.org. |
