Skaters enjoy successful season

The DHS Figure Skating Team had a very successful first year.

The DHS Figure Skating Team had a very successful first year. In the first competition at the Colonial Open on April 27 they received 3rd place in the team spin event and 4th place in the compulsory event. Alex Shaughnessy of Garden Lane also placed 1st in the novice short program and 3rd place in the novice-senior ladies interpretive freestyle. On May 31 the team won 1st place at the North Shore Open in the high school maneuvers event. Alex Shaughnessy also won 2nd place in novice ladies freestyle and Catherine Vitaro won both 1st and 2nd place with her theatre on ice team – Act I of Boston. They are pictured here presenting DHS Principal, Mr. Stephens with the state trophy they won.
