U. of Richmond junior Lexie Marrocco (DHS ’05) was recently selected for the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team, while sister Erica (DHS ’06) was named the team’s Most Improved Player for 2008… Freshman Holly Jones (DHS ‘07) and her Wellesley College novice crew team took the bronze medal last week at the New England Rowing Championships, where Wellesley College placed fifth overall and qualified for the ECAC championships. On Saturday Jones and her Wellesley College team took the silver medal at the ECAC National Invitational Regatta in Worcester… Harvard freshman Sam McMahon (Groton ‘07) has been named Ivy League “Defensive Player of The Week” for her performance in Harvard’s 14-11 win over Boston College… The college lacrosse career of senior tri-captain Bethany Nardone (DHS ’04) came to an end on Saturday when her Babson College lacrosse team lost to defending national champion Franklin & Marshall, 15-4, in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament… Junior Rachael Sprague (DHS ’05) and sophomore Jamie Ducinski (DHS ’06) saw their softball season come to an end when Bridgewater State lost to St. Joseph’s College of NY, 1-0, in the opening round of the NCAA Division III New England Regional Tournament in RI. The Bears were a 21-strikout victim of St Joe’s Jennifer Martinez… Freshman catcher Grant Bowen (DHS ’07) went 2 for 3 in the final game of the season, as Carleton College won 25-4 over the University of Minnesota.- Morris…

Dartmouth senior Kristen Barry (Thayer ’04), a four-year starter at attack, has been named All-Ivy for the fourth straight year and second-straight as a first teamer. This season Barry led the Big Green’s attack, tallying a team-high 49 points, while also leading the squad in goals with 37 and assists with 12. She graduates as one of the most potent offensive players ever to wear the Green and White, ranking fourth in career points with 177 and fourth in career goals with 146… Sophomore Max Quinzani (DHS ’06) scored 2 goals, one of which was assisted by teammate Matt Danowski that made him the all-time leading scorer in college history with 343 points. Quinzani, who has posted at least one goal in 24 of his past 25 games dating back to last year, now has 54 goals on the year, second-most in the country behind teammate Zack Greer.  Duke is now 31-2 in games when Quinzani scores… Junior Peter Antons (DHS ’05) won his match at #3 doubles, but it wasn’t enough to keep his Indiana University men’s tennis team from being eliminated by Vanderbilt, 4-3, in the Oxford Regional of the NCAA Division I Tennis Tournament in Mississippi… Junior Alec Siefert (DHS ’05) scored 2 goals for Ithaca, as the #7-ranked Bombers beat #14-ranked Williams 17-10, in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament in Ithaca, NY on Saturday…

The Bates College women’s varsity eight with Caitlin Murphy (DHS ’05) and Alison Frye (DHS ’06 ) took third place in the grand final of the National Invitational Collegiate Regatta on Sunday. The Bobcats, ranked No. 3 in Division III, covered the 2,000-meter course in 6:57.118, behind only rivals Williams (6:46.822) and Trinity (6:47.427) and ahead of fourth-place and No. 4-ranked Ithaca (7:02.187), St. Lawrence and New Hampshire… Freshman Kate Cipolletti (DHS ’07) and her B.U. women’s lacrosse team scored eight straight goals in the second half to beat UNH, 16-8, in the first round of the NCAA play-offs on Saturday at Nickerson Field in Boston.
