At Silver Lake, Emily Averna played Kelli Macfarlane in the first singles spot. Averna stayed consistent and patient throughout the match while also moving her opponent around the court and forcing errors. Averna won the match with two sets of 6-1.

Second singles player Michaela Dowd struggled against opponent Emily Warnock, a very consistent player. Dowd dropped the match 4-6, 4-6.

 In the third singles spot, freshman Casey Reinhart played her first match for the team. Reinhart beat Silver Lake’s Andrea Clauson, a strong player who forced her to stay consistent throughout a three set match. (6-3, 4-6, 6-3){sidebar id=1}

Second doubles players Annie Gluskin and Jane Morgan won their match against Sarah Williams and Emily Scriazzi with both sets 6-0. Both Duxbury doubles teams played clean, quick matches and proved to be considerably stronger than their opponents.

On Wednesday, the Duxbury girls hosted their match against Hanover under ideal conditions.
