Mini-soccer is fun, healthy, team-based and instructional, and is designed with young kids in mind. Mini-soccer is for players in the following age groups:

Children born between 8/1/2001-7/31/2003 will play in the “Under-6” age group.

Children born between 8/1/1999-7/31/2001 will play in the “Under-8” age group.

The hour-long sessions focus on fun first, and are action packed with a lot of ball touches, no standing around, and no lines. Kids will enjoy playing with friends and meeting new ones in these well-organized sessions. The low or no pressure format includes high participation exercises and skill development, followed by fun match play (Under-6 play informal matches; Under-8 play matches against other teams on larger fields and goals){sidebar id=4}

Parents are welcome to assist with the organization of the session and help with coaching if they like. Instruction will be available for interested. This season, our orientation/training session for parents and returning coaches will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 12-2 pm at the Chandler School gymnasium.{sidebar id=1}

The season runs on seven weekends: hour-long sessions that take place on Sunday afternoons during April (4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27) and May (5/4, 5/11, and 5/18).  The “Under-6” group plays at 12 noon; “Under-8” play at 1:15pm. All games are at the Coppens Field Complex at Chandler School.

 Some openings remain for the upcoming season, but are filling up fast. Although the discounted registration deadline has passed, late registrations are still being accepted for these age groups.
