Katie Egan of Duxbury and the Weymouth Club Waves was outstanding at the New England 12 & Under Age Group Championships held in Attleboro last month. Despite the grueling schedule and evening finals, Egan shed two seconds in the 100-yd. butterfly and took the seventh place medal with a time of 1:05.93. She also achieved personal bests and took 10th and 11th in the 50-yd. and 200-yd. butterfly finals, respectively. Combined, Egan earned 25 points for her team.
