Six Duxbury swimmers competed at the South Sectional Championships last
weekend at the MIT pool, finishing 20th out of 33 teams, as Boston
College High scored a whopping 237 points to take the title over
second-place Bishop Feehan (143).

Other event participants included Ben White, who raced a 5:41.42 in the 500-yard freestyle (21st), and co-captain Andrew Sommer, who motored to a 1:12.01 in the 100-yard breaststroke. The best relay finish of the day was the 400-yard freestyle, with Barry Su, Chaisson, Crowell and Drew Husted slashing eight seconds off their previous best time (3:41.83) while finishing 15th. Husted, Su, Sommer and Crowell teamed for the 200-yard freestyle finishing in 1:42.06, and Chaisson, Sommer, Crowell and Su raced to a 1:52.98 in the 200-yard medley relay (17th).{sidebar id=6} |

Junior
Hunter Chaisson took third in his signature event; the 100-yard
backstroke, matching his previous best time (56.98). Cam Crowell was
15th (1:03.37). The junior work-horse also placed 11th in the 100-yard
