Jim Shaughnessy of Garden Lane passed his 2nd degree black belt first review on June 21 at the Yuan Yen Do Karate Centre. He also won a 1st place trophy in the weapons form/sword event and a 2nd place trophy in the forms event at the national tournament.

AUTO ROAD RUNNER: Anne Marie Winchester of Tobey Garden Street recently ran the Mount Washington Road Race, a 7.6 mile race  to the summit of Mount Washington along the auto road.

Fairfield University junior Chris Ajemian (DHS ’05) has been named to the 2008 NEILA New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-New England Division I team as a mid-fielder. Ajemian finished the season with 15 goals, and was second on the team with 22 points. He also was third on the team with 27 ground balls.
