The Lady Dragons saw their five-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt last Monday when they dropped a 10-1 decision to division leader Middleboro in Duxbury.

The Duxbury boys’ lacrosse team turned in its best performance of the year on Saturday afternoon when it beat nationally-ranked Niskayuna (NY), 8-7, on Sam Sweet’s goal with 13 seconds remaining.
What appeared to be a high-scoring affair when both teams scored a trio of goals in a 17-second span early in the first quarter, suddenly turned into a defensive struggle, as neither team was able to get more than a two-goal lead throughout the afternoon under overcast skies in Duxbury.

And people think Duxbury fans are obnoxious. With their girls’ lacrosse team coming in undefeated at 4-0-1, fans of the Cohasset High School squad were expecting big things, like a win over the 4-3-1 Lady Dragons.
They expressed their feelings from the opening face-off and it never ceased, annoying spectators and officials alike, as the Lady Dragons ruined their afternoon with a 14-8 win over the Skippers on Friday afternoon in Duxbury.
