Isabelle L. Parker Rogde of Winchester and Duxbury died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 19. She was 93 years old.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur T. Rogde who predeceased her in January 1964.

Isabelle L. Parker Rogde of Winchester and Duxbury died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 19. She was 93 years old.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur T. Rogde who predeceased her in January 1964.

She was born in Somerville on March 9, 1914, daughter of the late Arthur L. and Gertrude F. McNaught Parker.

Mrs. Rogde was educated in the Somerville schools and graduated from Wellesley College, class of 1935.  She was a member of the Winchester Country Club, Duxbury Yacht Club, EnKa Society and Wellesley College Club. She was an avid curler, golfer and bridge player. {sidebar id=1}

Mrs. Rogde leaves her daughter Phyllis R. Gleason and her husband Paul of Winchester and Duxbury; her grandson Arthur C.R. Gleason and his wife Louise of Miami, Fla.; her grandson Alexander M. Gleason and his wife Nancy of Boston and Duxbury; and great grandsons Jonathan P. and David A. Gleason.  She also leaves nieces, nephews and their families. She was the sister of the late Marjorie W. Parker Freeman and the grandmother of the late Allyson A. Gleason. 

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 25 at the First Congregational Church, Winchester. Burial was in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Duxbury Beach Preservation, Inc., c/o Margaret Kearney, P.O. Box 2593, Duxbury, MA 02331 or to the charity of one’s choice.
