Jesse Peter Farrelly, 20, of Duxbury died on Feb. 8 after a lengthy illness while visiting friends in Newport Beach, Calif. Jesse was born on March 18, 1991 in Santa Monica, Calif. He loved to laugh and have others laugh along with him. He enjoyed his days spent on Cape Cod and in Ketchum, Idaho, but it was in his hometown of Duxbury that Jesse made most of his friends. As a child he enjoyed Scouts, camping, boating, fishing, and recreational sports. An avid Boston sports fan, he passionately cheered on the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox. A 2009 graduate of Duxbury High School, Jesse went on to attend the University of Arizona and also enjoyed success in the film world, as both an actor and as part of the production crew. Jesse leaves his parents, Nancy and Bobby Farrelly; his sisters Anna Farrelly and Tiffany and her husband, Sean Burke; his grandparents, Agnes Byers, the late Devere Jessee Byers and Dr. Robert L. and Mariann Farrelly; many aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins; and his heartbroken bulldog, Milly. A funeral service and celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Holy Family Church in Duxbury. All friends and family are welcome. A private burial service is planned for a later date; there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jesse’s name to the Cape Cod Center for Women, Safe House, capecodshelter.org. |
