Linda Susan (McVoy) Banville, 52, of Duxbury, died on Dec. 8 in her home surrounded by her family. A small family spiritual ceremony was held shortly after her death. Mrs. Banville was born on Oct. 29, 1959 in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of the late Carl E. and Elizabeth (Henry) McVoy. She worked in sales and marketing, and while on vacation met and later married Paul Banville A homemaker, Linda treasured her family and was active in the Duxbury community, where she was a board member of the Duxbury Education Foundation, past president of the PTA and member of the Junior League. Mrs. Banville leaves her husband Paul Banville of Duxbury; her children, Michael and his wife, Alisha of Biddeford, Maine, Brittany Banville and Hunter Banville both of Duxbury; her brother, David McVoy and his wife, Nita of Memphis, Tenn.; and her granddaughter, Lylah Banville. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. in the North River Community Church, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Brittany and Hunter Banville Education Fund, Sovereign Bank, 64 Depot St., Duxbury, MA 02332, Attention: Mary Andris; or to the North River Food Co-Op, c/o North River Community Church, 334 Old Oak St., Pembroke, MA 02359. |
