All will now be joined together in eternal rest.  Bill leaves behind his children Christopher, Deborah, James and his partner Nancy, Judith, Marianne and her husband Douglas, Janette and the late Glenn Andrew Mehrman, Sean and his wife Laurie, and Erin. He leaves his first wife; Anne Dowling (McDermott) Griffin. Bill was a Naval Air reservist, an avid swimmer, reader and a New England sports fan. Bill cherished his time spent with friends, co-workers at the Duxbury Art Complex, and with fellow police officer’s.  His fondest memories were of Wollaston, Duxbury, Nantasket Beach, and all of the beaches in Florida.  He loved Hawaiian shirts, pink flamingos and going to Saquish to spend time with his buddies and family.  He loved celebrating with family and friends on July 4th and Christmas Eve. He enjoyed golfing, baseball and living in Florida. During his retirement he spent most of his time swimming in his backyard pool and traveling.  The family will hold a graveside memorial service and a Celebration of Life at a date to be announced.
