Dianne Marie (O’Brien) Fagan, 52, of Duxbury, died Sunday, Oct. 2 after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Harrington) O’Brien. Born and raised in Cohasset, Mrs. Fagan was a resident of Duxbury for over 20 years. She was a successful businesswoman, subsequently owning two companies, MDF Transcription, LLC and New England Independent Medical Exams, Inc., where she served as President and CEO. She graduated from Cohasset High School in 1976 and attended Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Fagan was a past officer of Duxbury Youth Football. She loved the beach and ocean, her dogs, Boone and Blaze, golf, travelling, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Fagan leaves her husband, Richard; her sons, Matthew, Shawn and Christopher, all of Duxbury; her sisters Maureen Reardon (and the late Mark Reardon) of Hanover, Monica Hemmah of Santa Barbara, Calif., Erin and her husband Joseph Flynn of Marlboro, Kerry and her husband Sean Murphy of Ventura, Calif.; a brother, Daniel O’Brien of Cohasset; her mother-in-law Elizabeth Fagan of Hingham; brother-in-law James and his wife Janice Fagan of Duxbury; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was held at Holy Family Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Fagan’s honor to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), 7-Feldberg Patient Care and Nursing Education Fund, c/o Chris Garabedian, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215. |
