Anthony “Tonio” F. LaGreca, Jr., age 57, of Duxbury, died on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Plymouth, Mr. LaGreca grew up in Duxbury, graduated from Duxbury High School and was an avid sports player. He enjoyed golf, swimming, skiing and was a devoted sports fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was also selected to try out for the Patriots. He was a graduate of the New England School of Photography. For many years, Mr. LaGreca was a professional builder, building custom-made and specialty homes in the New England area. He leaves his parents, Anthony F. LaGreca, Sr. and Ellie (Olsen) LaGreca of Duxbury; his son, the late Nicholas D. LaGreca; his sisters, Susan Morrison and her husband P. Tracy Morrison of Duxbury and the late Elizabeth Ann LaGreca; his nephews, Paul and Kyle Morrison; and many cousins and close friends. Calling hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Route 106), Kingston, on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 4-8 p.m. and the funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury. Contributions in Mr. LaGreca’s memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168. |
