Paul E. Richard, a self-taught master carpenter of Duxbury, and formerly of Cambridge and Arlington, died after a lengthy illness with his family by his side on July 9. He was 85 years old.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Alice H. Richard; his children Paulette and her husband Paul Eori of Duxbury, David Richard and his wife Patricia of Marlboro, Paul Richard Jr. and his wife Diane of Duxbury, and Renee Richard of Stowe. He also leaves six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13 from 4-7 p.m., with a service set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association at americanheart.org.
