Thomas W. Taylor, of Carver, 88, died June 17, 2011. Mr. Taylor graduated from Duxbury High School with the class of 1941. He is a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and earned five battle stars. He was a member of the American Legion Post 223 in Duxbury, VFW in Franklin, N.H., and formerly a member of the Elks in Marshfield, and I.O.O.F. of Duxbury. He is the past president of the Friends of the Council on Aging in Duxbury. Mr. Taylor leaves his wife, Jean Taylor of Carver; his children, Linda A. Crawford of Wareham, and Thomas W. Taylor II and his wife Pamela of Kingston; his brother, George Taylor of Fla.; his sisters, Helen Vincent of N.J., Grace “Eve” Dolan of Abington, the late Florence Keller, and Mary “Paulie” Daley; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 26 from 4-7 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106), Kingston. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston. |
