Esther Arnold Randall, 92, of Niantic, Conn., formerly of Duxbury, died at home on April 15.

Mrs. Randall was born Jan. 29, 1919, in Auburn, Maine, the daughter of the late Rev. Charles J. and Florence M. Barber Washburn.  She graduated from Cambridge High and Latin, in Cambridge and later studied organ at the New England Conservatory of Music.  Mrs. Randall was a private person who was a musician and an artist. She retired from John Hancock Life Insurance Co. in 1975.  She married James F. Randall, Jr., on June 27, 1941, who died on March 29, 2003. She resided in Duxbury for 45 years prior to moving to Niantic, Conn. in 2003.

Mrs. Randall leaves her daughter Joan C. Schneider and her husband Robert; and her granddaughter Amy, all of Niantic, Conn.  Services are private, with burial at the Mayflower Cemetery.
