Edward Robert Brock died Saturday, Oct. 30, after a battle with lung cancer. Mr. Brock was born on Oct. 8,1934 in Brockton to John Anson and Edna (Maloney) Brock and was a longtime resident of Duxbury before retiring to Melbourne, Fla. Mr. Brock graduated from Duxbury High School before serving honorably in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. After working with his family's business, he took his passion for the ocean and set out on a long and rewarding venture as a lobsterman in Massachusetts. After retirement, he spent time with family and friends. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Catherine (Swanton) Brock of Melbourne, Fla.; his daughters, Caroline Brock and Colleen Brock Hale; his son-in-law, Troy Hale; his grandson, Jordan Hale, all of Apex, North Carolina; his sister-in-law, Nancy (Hazlehurst) Brock of Cary, N. C.; and many nieces and nephews. |
