Jane M. (Macdonald) Allen, 92, of Duxbury, formerly of Centerville, died Dec. 5, 2010.  She was the wife of the late Lloyd E. Allen, III, sister of Daniel Macdonald of Wellesley, and the late Claire Pieper.  
Mrs. Allen was born in Boston Aug. 3, 1918 and grew up in Brookline, attending Brookline High School.  She married Lloyd Allen, also of Brookline, on Jan. 4, 1945 while he was stationed at Fort Hood, Tex.  They raised their four children in Ashland and moved to Centerville in 1978.  Following her husband’s death, Mrs. Allen moved to the Village at Duxbury in 2002.
Mrs. Allen was an avid reader and swimmer.  She received a certificate of Reiki at the age of 80. She was actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Allen leaves her children, Candace Crowley and her husband, Kevin of Key Largo, Fla., Richard Allen and his wife, Joan of Cohasset, Christopher Allen and his wife, Carol of Duxbury, and the late Lloyd Allen, Jr.; seven  grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
