Doris Schauman, 90, formerly of Rochester, N.Y. died Sept. 21 at Plymouth Crossings Assisted Living in Plymouth.

Mrs. Schauman was educated at the University of Rochester where she earned a BA in sociology.  She worked as an office administrator during war time.  She volunteered for many years at Highland Hospital and at Junior Aides.  She was also an active member of the Smallwood Garden Club and St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Schauman was the wife of the late Robert Schauman, owner of Schauman and Sons Funeral Home.  She leaves her daughters, Susan Paull and Lindsay Blake and her husband Richard Blake, all of Duxbury; her grandchildre, Kathleen Illingworth, Robert Paull, Emily Kiriaziades, Lindsay Paull, and Peter Paull; and four great grandchildren.
