Jeanette E. Tamagini-McCue (Enguanti), age 79, of Duxbury, died Feb. 27 at Newfield House in Plymouth after a long illness. She grew up in greater Boston and later lived in Needham and Medfield before moving to the Village at Duxbury. She was a retired Professor of Counselor Education at Rhode Island College, Providence, R.I. Ms. Tamagini-McCue received a BS from Boston Teachers College in 1951, an EdM in counselor education from Boston University in 1962 and an EDD in counselor education from Boston University in 1968. Ms. Tamagini-McCue was a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She was an ardent swimmer, gardener and golfer. She wrote and co-authored several books. She was the mother of Joan Sullivan of Duxbury and the late Lynn Tamagini. She was the widow of Wallace R. Tamagini and Francis T. McCue. She was the sister of Irene Conte of Danvers and Dot Baker of Duxbury. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Burial was private at Blue Hill Cemetery. |
