Kristin M. “Tina†Andrews of Plymouth, formerly of Framingham, died Sunday, Dec. 20. Born Dec. 4, 1951, she was the daughter of Ralph W. Andrews and Mary (Grinley) Andrews. She graduated from Framingham South High School in 1969 and received an A.S. in gerontology from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, a B.S. in education from Westfield State College, and a Masters in counseling psychology from Anna Maria College, in Paxton. Ms. Andrews worked for North Worcester County as director of Help for Children, coordinator for the office for children, and director of Displaced Homemakers. In 1980 she was voted one of the ten most outstanding young citizens of Worcester. In 1984, she became the Director of Off Campus Programs for Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Leominster, and Fort Devens. In 1995 she moved to Germany for two years. Upon her return, she settled in Plymouth. She was the director of Continuing Education for Aquinas College in both Newton and Milton. In 1998 she became the director of the Council on Aging in Duxbury. She held this position until 2004, and while there was responsible for building a nationally recognized Senior Center with innovative programming that has been replicated throughout the commonwealth and country. During the last five years she worked from home as an instructor and translator for Telelangue (in France) and World Speaks (in Germany) and part-time for the Hampton Inn in Plymouth. Ms. Andrews was also a gifted freelance writer and an accomplished ballroom dancer. She leaves a sister, Gail Kennedy of Boylston; three nieces, and two great nephews. Funeral services and burial will be private. Condolences may be sent in her name to the Framingham Heart Study, 74 Mt. Wayte Ave., Framingham, MA 01702.
