Anna B. (Walker) Hardy, 96, of Duxbury, died Nov. 6. She was born in Duxbury, the daughter of the late Alpheus H. Walker and Anna N. Belknap. She graduated from Duxbury High School in 1930. She attended the Partridge Academy. She was the wife of the late Norman L. Hardy and the sister of the late Dorothy S. Metcalf, Herbert E. Walker, Alpheus H. Walker, and Edward B. Walker. Mrs. Hardy leaves her sons, Edward Hardy and his companion Tricia of Duxbury, Stephen Hardy of Greenfield, and the late David Hardy; her daughters, Anne L. Carlson and her husband Carl of Duxbury, Eleanor Schultz and her husband Burt of North Dakota, Alice Peck and her husband Ron of Kingston, Elizabeth Blankenship of Virginia; her sister-in-law Esther Walker of Duxbury; two daughters-in-law, Sylvia Hardy of Florida and Marcia Hardy of Illinois; 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at St. Paul’s Church of the Nazarene, 135 Summer St., at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of one’s choice. |
