Alishia Jean Alander of Duxbury, formerly of Plymouth died May 12 in an automobile accident in Plymouth. She was 20.
Alishia Jean Alander of Duxbury, formerly of Plymouth died May 12 in an automobile accident in Plymouth. She was 20. Born in Orange County, Calif., Alishia was the daughter of Ernest and Kathleen (Sullivan) Alander of Duxbury. She lived in Plymouth for over 10 years before moving to Duxbury. She was a 2003 graduate of Plymouth North High School and attended Bridgewater College from 2003-04. She was a customer service consultant at the Plymouth CVS and Sam’s Club. In her early years, she enjoyed dancing, acting in plays and ballet. In high school Alishia was involved with Students Fostering Hope (a group dedicated to raising money for activities for foster children). Later in life she enjoyed playing the guitar, she also enjoyed helping people and aspiring people to better themselves. Besides her parents, Alishia leaves her sisters, Julie Mitchell and Sherrie Alander of Duxbury; and her boyfriend, Tony Mori of Plymouth. She was the granddaughter of Charlotte Alander, and Henry Fuller, both of Plymouth, and the late Jean Thomas Fuller, Arnold Alander and Arthur Thomas. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Rt. 106, Kingston. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vine Hill’s Cemetery, Plymouth. Donations may be made to the Alishia Jean Alander Memorial Fund, c/o Eastern Bank, 108 Main St., Kingston, MA 02364.
