Donald P. Harrington of Marshfield died July 27 at the age of 75. He was born in Cambridge and graduated from St. Mary’s School in Waltham and the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Harrington was a self-employed contractor. He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force from l958 to l962. He was an avid golfer and loved the beaches in Marshfield and Cape Cod. Mr. Harrington was the husband of the late Virginia (Shaw) Harrington. He leaves his sons, Donald Harrington and his wife Virginia of Braintree, John Harrington and his wife Kerry of Duxbury, Thomas Harrington and his wife Nicola of Kingston; his daughter, Terry Anastos and her husband Matt of Hull; his brothers, Joseph Harrington of Acton, Charles Harrington of Wellesley, Rev. Richard Harrington residing at Regina Cleary, Michael Harrington of Marshfield, Christopher Harrington of Plymouth, and the late Lawrence Harrington and John Harrington; his sister, MaryEllen Ryan of Waltham; his longtime companion Geraldine Flynn of Marshfield; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Harrington is buried in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. Contributions in his memory may be made to South Shore Hospice, l00 Baystate Drive, Braintree, MA. 02l84.a |
