Timothy Kevin Callahan of Weymouth formerly of Duxbury and Hamden, Conn. died after a long illness on June 14, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

He was 61 years old and was raised and educated in Hamden, Conn. He lived in Duxbury for several years before moving to Weymouth 10 years ago.  He graduated from Hamden High School in 1965 and received a B.A. in history from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn. class of 1970. He retired from V.D.C. Corp. Inc. in Natick where he worked for 12 years as a sales manager and most recently worked in marketing research.  He enjoyed the ocean, golf, collecting pottery and water colors.    His greatest love was spending time with his children.

Tim leaves his wife Maren (Jensen) Callahan.  He was the father of Christopher Callahan of Boston and Kathryn Callahan of Duxbury and Myrtle Beach, SC;  stepfather of Jeffrey Rigoletti and his wife Tammie of Rocky Hill, CT;  step–grandfather of James F. Rigoletti;  brother of Betsy J. Callahan of Hamden, Conn.  He also leaves his former wife Anne Callahan Graham and her husband Kenneth Graham of Duxbury, lifelong friends Joe and Carol Boucher and family; Gail and Dan Franchi and family; and John and Maureen Pepe.   He was the son of the late William and Rose (Pevetty) Callahan.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m. at the North Haven Funeral Home in North Haven, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim’s memory to Quinnipiac University, 275 Mount Carmel Ave., Hamden, CT. 06518-1940.
