William T. Mosher Sr., 81, died Friday Feb. 20 at Coyne Healthcare Center in Rockland after a long illness. Mr. Mosher was born in Duxbury, the son of the late William St. Clair Mosher and the late Elizabeth (Redmond) Mosher. He was raised in Duxbury, resided in Manomet and later called South Meadow Village in Carver home. A graduate of Duxbury High School, Mr. Mosher later attended Miami University and went on to serve in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway. He was employed for 36 years by Hendries of Milton as a long distance truck driver. Mr. Mosher enjoyed gardening, golf, and the early years at Duxbury Beach with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Duxbury Post 223 and was the last survivor of 13 children. Mr. Mosher was the husband of Priscilla A. (Sabin) Mosher. In addition to his wife, he leaves four children; William T. Mosher Jr. of Florida; Daniel Mosher of Florida; Darlene King of Kingston; and Carrie Ayers of Plymouth, N.H. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. in Plymouth on Thursday Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Feb. 27 at the funeral home with burial following the service in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal St Watertown, MA 02472 or to Beacon Hospice 8 Samoset St Plymouth, MA 02360. On-line condolences may be made at richarddavisfuneralhome.com. |
