Frances M. (Reed) Blanchard, 93, of Lewis Center Ohio formerly of Duxbury and Rockland died on Sunday Feb. 22 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. She was born in Marshfield the  daughter of the late Waldo B. and Sarah E. (Porter) Reed and was raised and educated in Duxbury graduating from Duxbury High School in 1933.

Mrs. Blanchard  was a member of Columbia Chapter #33 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Sunbury, Ohio and had been a member of Duxbury Chapter, #219 O.E.S. and the First Congregational Church in Rockland.

Mrs. Blanchard was the wife of the late Wendell P. Blanchard.  She leaves her daughters, Eleanor L. Johnson of Jensen Beach, Florida; Beverly A. Johnson and her husband Bruce of Hingham; and Helen B. Lowe and her husband George of Lewis Center, Ohio; her sister Marie Heeks of Kingston; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland on Friday Feb. 27 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at the Plympton Church Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 4-7 p.m.  Members of the Dorothy Bradford Chapter O.E.S. will conduct a service at 6:45 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lewis Center U.M.C. 1081 Lewis Center Rd.
