Helen M. Bugor, 87, of Kingston, formerly of Duxbury and Westland, Mich., died Thursday, Jan. 8, at Wingate Skilled Care Center in Kingston.

She was the wife of the late George H. Bugor.  She leaves her daughter, Georgine E. Berridge, and son-in-law,  Dr. R. Bruce Berridge of Duxbury and her granddaughter, Megan M. Berridge of Greenville, SC.

In her youth, Helen was an avid tennis player.  She loved poetry, the outdoors, and animals.  She particularly enjoyed her daily three-mile walks along West Street handing out dog cookies to her canine friends along her route who anxiously anticipated her arrival.  Several Duxbury residents nicknamed Helen “The Dog Biscuit Lady.”

Memorial services will be private.  Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to The Standish Humane Society, PO Box 634, Duxbury, MA  02331
