Helen M. O’Connell, worked at Bobby Hackett’s

Helen Merrill O’Connell died in North Andover on Jan. 4. She was is a longtime resident of Duxbury and former employee at Bobby Hackett’s in Pembroke.

She leaves her sons Gary Merrill and his wife Kathleen of Nashua, NH, and Glenn Merrill and his wife Susan of Sandwich; a sister Lawrence Christian of Portland, Ore.; and her grandchildren Andrew Merrill of Nashua NH; and Aaron Merrill of San Diego, Cal. She was preceded in death by husbands William Merrill and Phil O’Connell, brother George Christian, sister Jessie Christian and granddaughter Kara Merrill.

A memorial service was held at Shepherd Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 44 Binney St. Boston MA 02115 or the charity of your choice.
