Irene C. Baker, 53, educator

Irene C. Baker, age 53, died on December 25. Irene was the wife of Dick Baker of Duxbury and the mother of Chris Baker, Briana Baker, and Andrew Baker. She was the daughter of Rose LeBert of Westwood, and the late LeRoy LeBert.
Mrs. Baker spent a 19-year career in education and was a special needs teacher in Duxbury. She especially loved Duxbury beach.
Visiting hours were held Dec. 30. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Duxbury Beach Preservation Society, PO Box 1364, Duxbury, 02331. Financial donations for the Baker children may be made to Rockland Trust, PO Box 1627, Duxbury MA 02331.
