Arlene M. (Malloy) Slattery, 56, of Duxbury died Nov. 18 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of George E. Slattery III. Born in Milton, July 15, 1952 the daughter of Jacqueline (Morris) Malloy of Duxbury and the late Edward Malloy, Mrs. Slattery was raised in Squantum and lived in Braintree for several years prior to moving to Duxbury 20 years ago. Mrs. Slattery was a graduate of Dean Junior College with an associate’s degree and also a graduate of Boston State College. Mrs. Slattery had worked for the Workingman’s Co Operative Bank, later part of Quincy Co Operative Bank for several years. She had been a volunteer in the Duxbury School system for many years. In addition to her husband and mother she leaves her children Sarah Slattery and Michael Slattery of Duxbury. Her funeral mass was held on Nov. 22 at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the JDRF 120 Wall St.19th Fl. New York NY 1005  |
