Constance Thornton Sitzer, 75, formerly Constance Kellar of Duxbury and Pemaquid, Maine, died in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. on October 9 after a brief illness. She was born in 1933 in Newton and graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School in Maine. She attended Academe Moderne in Boston, Westbrook Junior College in Maine and Bridgewater State College. In 1953 she married the late Kirby D. (Cookie) Kellar and lived in Duxbury until moving to Pemaquid, Maine in 1985. She taught pre-kindergarten and elementary school in Duxbury and Pembroke. She spread love, hope and kindness with unbridled humor, boundless generosity of spirit, and the power of example. She leaves her husband Richard E. Sitzer, two daughters, Margo Kellar of Portland, Maine and Stephanie Kellar of Brookline, two grandchildren, Orion Wainer of Jamaica Plain and Corinne Wainer of Miami Beach Fla., as well as many step children, step grandchildren, family and friends. A memorial service was held on October 13, at Jupiter First Church, Jupiter, Fla. Burial will be private in Pemaquid, Maine at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach Gardens Unit, 3360 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. |
