Theodore Wallace Page, 86, died of natural causes in the home of his daughter in Bluffton, S.C. on Monday, Sept. 1.
Theodore Wallace Page, 86, died of natural causes in the home of his daughter in Bluffton, S.C. on Monday, Sept. 1. Formerly of The Landings in Savannah, Ga., Mr. Page was born in Winchester, on May 25, 1922. He attended Lincoln Preparatory School and Boston University. As a veteran of the U.S. Marine Air Corps he served in the Pacific during WWII. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and served as President of the Rotary Club in Duxbury. He and his wife Nancy retired to Savannah in 1980 after a successful 33-year career in the insurance industry which included a corporate partnership in a Boston Agency and president of his own agency in Belmont. While a resident of The Landings, he was active on several boards and as a First Responder on the fire department. Mr. Page leaves two sons, James Gardner Page of Conway, N.H. and Bradford Hastings Page of Savannah, Ga., a daughter Ruth Faulkner Page Essler of Bluffton, S.C., daughter-in-law Karen M. Page, daughter-in-law Mary-Angela Page, son-in-law David Richard Essler, and four grandchildren, David Samuel Page, Jonette Marie Page, Theodore James Page, and John Robert Burns Page. He also leaves his sister-in-law Ethel S. Page of Marshfield. Funeral services were held at the Springfield United Methodist Church on Cleveland Street in Springfield, Ga. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Mr. Page will be buried next to his wife Nancy at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. |
