Barbara C. Nelson, 91, of Duxbury, died on Wednesday, June 25. Barbara C. Nelson, 91, of Duxbury, died on Wednesday, June 25. Mrs. Nelson is a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Nelson was a nurse for many years at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was also very active in the Duxbury Senior Center for many years.{sidebar id=4} Mrs. Nelson was the sister of the late Richard Nelson, William Nelson Jr., Ruth Gagne, Donna Craggy, Gladys LaBrecque, and Phyllis Ford. She leaves her niece Lois Smithson and her husband James of Cambridge, and her great nieces, Elisa Frederick and her husband Erik, Andrea Dargie and her husband William, Melanie Hayes and her husband Robert, as well as many great nieces, nephews and a large extended family. Services will be private. Donations may be made in her name to Alda Services Plan, 2216 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02124 or Bayview Assisted Living, 1380 Columbia Rd. Boston, MA 02127. |
