Barbara T. ‘Babs’ McDermott, 91, of Duxbury, formerly of Lynbrook, N.Y. died on Sunday, June 8.

Mrs. McDermott leaves her husband of 62 years, Joseph, a son, James McDermott of Levittown, N.Y., a daughter, Barbara Pye and her husband, Thomas of Duxbury, a daughter Dorothy DeCrescenzo, of Kingston, a sister, Esther Miller and her husband Howard, of Danbury, Conn., grandchildren Sean, Joseph, Timothy, Benjamin, Bridget, Charles, Samantha, Kristy and Daniel and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John McDermott and Joseph McDermott. Mrs. McDermott was recently a new resident of the Village at Duxbury and leaves many new friends.

 A Funeral Mass was held on June 12 at Holy Family Church. She was buried at Mayflower Cemetery.
