Leonard P. Ricketson of Pembroke died on May 26 at the Jordan Hospital after a brief illness.
Leonard P. Ricketson of Pembroke died on May 26 at the Jordan Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Leonard and Mary Ricketson. Mr. Ricketson loved family vacations, especially Rockport, the ocean and all kinds of music. He was an enthusiastic singer who never missed the words to a song. He was a winner of many ribbons for his participation in the Special Olympics. {sidebar id=4} He leaves his sisters; Laura Doherty and her husband John of Duxbury, and Stephanie Mendelson of Lewisburg, W. Va.; his nieces, Laura Taberner of Duxbury, Alison Estabrooks of Duxbury, Heather Comerford of Cohasset, Jessica Magnerella of Georgia; and a nephew, Noah Mendelson of Mexico. A funeral mass was held on May 30 at St. Thecla’s Church, Pembroke, with burial at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Seven Hills Foundation, 81 Hope Avenue, Worcester, MA 01603 or Road to Responsibility, 84 South Main Street, Middleboro, MA 02346. |
