Julie A. Clapp of Belfast, Maine, 40, died on May 30 at her residence.
Julie A. Clapp of Belfast, Maine, 40, died on May 30 at her residence. She was born on September 24, 1968 in Brockton, the daughter of John DeLoid and Caroline (Jones) DeLoid. She grew up in Duxbury where she worked with the 4-H club as a young girl raising sheep. She was a band member and a member of the swim team. She graduated from DHS in 1986. She went on to further her education at the University of Connecticut graduating in 1991 from their pharmacy program. She was a pharmacist in Massachusetts at Walgreen’s for several years. She married Jonathan Clapp in August of 1991. In February of 2000 they moved to Maine and she began working at the Rite-Aid pharmacy in Belfast. Mrs. Clapp was active with the Bluefish swim team and enjoyed skiing with her family. She also loved sailing and was a part of a boating program in Belfast.{sidebar id=4} Mrs. Clapp leaves her husband of 16 years, Jonathan Clapp of Belfast; four children; Jonathan, Jerahmy, Jessica, and Jillian Clapp, parents; John and Caroline DeLoid of Duxbury, her father and mother in-law; Dick and Janice Clapp of Stockton Springs, Maine, siblings; Glenn DeLoid of Natick, Susan Jamison and husband Al of Duxbury, sister-in-law; Meridith Fessenden and husband Tom of Virginia, two brother-in-laws; Richard Clapp and wife Sarah of Hamilton, Andrew Clapp of Stockton Springs, Maine, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John P. DeLoid III. Services were held on June 3 at Faith Temple Church of God in Belfast. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Bluefish Swim Team, 157 Lincolnville Avenue, Belfast, ME. 04915. |
