Patricia Ann Godfrey D’Angona, wife for 52 years of the late Atty. Peter D’Angona, died with her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 27 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. Born in Hartford and a former long time resident of Windsor Locks and Glastonbury, Conn., she divided her time in recent years between her homes in Duxbury and Los Angeles. A lover of music, dancing, bowling and bingo and known for her infectious laugh, Pat leaves two sons and two daughters and their families; Richard and Sandra of Duxbury and Newport Beach, Calif; Dr. Brian and Richard Whobrey of Los Angeles; Lynn and Deb Graeber of Boston and Los Angeles. and Kelli and Eric Usher of Stevenson Ranch; and her four “Mimi’s Angels”; grandchildren Chelsea, Justin, and Jordan D’Angona of Duxbury and Newport Beach, Calif.; and Zoe Usher of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; and sister, Margaret Ginolfi and husband Michael and her sister-in-law Theresa DiMartino of Connecticut. She treasured the time she spent in Duxbury and the warm reception she received from Lauren, Ann, Chris, Barb, Mimi, Rose and Mary, dear friends of her daughter-in-law, Sandra. A mass of Christian burial is planned for June 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, South Glastonbury, Conn. June 28. An open house to celebrate Pat’s life will be held immediately afterward. Burial at the Mount St. Benedict’s Cemetery, Bloomfield, Conn. will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be directed to the Friends of the Duxbury Council on Aging, P.O. Box 2113, Duxbury, MA 02332. In Pat’s honor, laugh often, dream big and reach for the stars. |
