Mrs. Edith A. Pierce Currul, 85, of Duxbury died on April 26, in the
Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was born in Bangor,
Maine on Nov. 27, 1922.
Mrs. Edith A. Pierce Currul, 85, of Duxbury died on April 26, in the Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was born in Bangor, Maine on Nov. 27, 1922. Mrs. Currul was raised and educated in Bangor and lived in Weymouth, Hull, Atlanta, Ga. and Carver before moving to Duxbury in 2001.{sidebar id=1} Mrs. Currul was formerly employed as a cosmetologist for the Revlon Company and worked at Jordan Marsh and Almy’s. She was a member of the Curtin Call Theater in Weymouth and the Duxbury Senior Citizens. She enjoyed knitting. Mrs. Currul was the wife of the late Franklin C. Currul. She leaves two sons, Frank Currul of North Attleboro and Stephen Currul of Duxbury, a daughter, Brenda Howard of Locust Grove, Ga., a sister Gerry Maskiewicz of Lynn and a close family friend, Connie Weatherby of Atlanta, Ga. She was also the mother of the late Douglas Currul and the late Linda Currul. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wed., April 30, 11 a.m., in the Sullivan Funeral, Washington Street, Hanover. Burial will be private in Village Cemetery in Hull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Duxbury Senior Citizens.{sidebar id=6}
