David E. Robinson, 63, of Duxbury died on March 28 after a short
illness at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 63 years old. Mr.
Robinson was born in Lawrence, and raised in Melrose.
David E. Robinson, 63, of Duxbury died on March 28 after a short illness at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 63 years old. Mr. Robinson was born in Lawrence, and raised in Melrose. He is a graduate of Melrose high School. Following his graduation from high school he entered into the U.S. Navy and served for four years on a carrier. Mr. Robinson went on to attend, and graduate from Boston University in 1972. He was most recently been employed as a sales representative for Accurate Fasteners in South Boston. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Masons as well as a Shriner. He was a Special Olympics coach at the Cardinal Cushing Centers. He loved the outdoors, biking, traveling, vacationing on the Cape, gardening, sailing, and his dog Bailey. He loved life, adventure, and lived his life to the fullest, but the greatest love of his life was his family. Mr. Robinson leaves his wife of 34 years Jean B. Robinson, his children Scot Robinson of Kingston and Sarah Robinson of San Diego, Calif., and his parents Alfred and Ruth Emerson Robinson of Brewster. Mr. Robinson also leaves a sister, Sally Ford of Connecticut and a sister in law Gail Sherry and her husband John Sherry as well as three nieces and one nephew. A memorial service was held at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Duxbury on Mon., March 31. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Special Olympics Adult Services at Cardinal Cushing Centers, 405 Washington Street, Hanover, MA 02339. |
