DHS Football and Best Buddies have joined forces for the 2012 Season. Last year the DHS football team dedicated their season to Timothy Steele, a Duxbury Native who died in combat in Afghanistan in 2011. The DHS Football team raised more than $30,000, the entire amount earmarked for Timothy Steele’s daughter, Liberty Steele. The team embraced the Steele family and committed the season to “Strength, Honor, Liberty.” The team held several fund-raising ventures over the course of the season and this year they have continued this commitment to community involvement. With the same excitement as last year you will see DHS Football players “passing the bucket” around during the high school football games and selling T-Shirts bearing the DHS Football and Best Buddies logos all in an effort to get involved and raise money for the Best Buddies program.
