Michelle Kazanowski, a member of the Class of 2015 at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt., has been recognized by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts College Theatre Festival for her acting role in the SMC mainstage spring production of APPetite. She is the recipient of the prestigious Irene Ryan Acting Audition Scholarship Award. Michelle appeared in eight performances during April, all of which received rave reviews. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kazanowski of Duxbury, she is a 2011 graduate of DHS and currently pursuing a double major in theatre and media communications, journalism and digital arts. Sarah Catherine Brovitz has been named to the dean’s list at Keene State College for the spring semester.

Robert McGill Brook, ‘14 and Patrick Michael O’Donnell, ‘15 earned high honors at Boston College High School for the third quarter. Patrick Holden, ’13, Michael Joseph Roberts, ’13, Ian Thomas Yanulis, ’13, Joseph Paul Burke,  ’14, Matthew Curtin Dyroff, ’14 and Edward F. Holden, ’15, achieved honors.

Daniel Goldman and Sara Passeri have been named to the dean’s high honor list and Shannon Kelly has been named to the dean’s honor list at Connecticut College for the spring semester.

Molly Ann Nestor graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in sociology and biology.

Molly Hayes Beatson (DHS ‘08) graduated May 18 from Simmons College in Boston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing. She has accepted a position with Forrester Research in Cambridge.

Nick Kale, DHS 2005, won a gold medal and two bronze medals in the 20th Pan American Archery Championships in San Salvador. The USA Archery Team sent 26 archers and coaches to San Salvador to compete among 16 other nations in this event. Nick’s gold medal was for the team round, in which Nick and two of his teammates were successful, edging out Mexico and Columbia for silver and bronze. Nick’s bronze medals were for the individual recurve bow competition and 70 meter recurve bow competition. Over 200 international archers competed in this six day event.Nick is a resident athlete at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.

Friend and Candy Weiler are delighted to announce the birth of their fourth grandson, Clark Lindgren Weiler, born on June 3. His proud parents are Eric and Anne (Lindgren) of Los Angeles. Clark’s maternal grandparents are Charlie and Fran Lindgren of Cohasset. Uncle Friend and Aunt Deirdre and cousins Friend, Luke and Cormac look forward to meeting him when he visits Duxbury during the Christmas holidays.

Emily Ali received a BS degree in human development and Family Studies and Timothy P. Krusell received a BS degree in marine affairs from the University of Rhode Island during commencement in May.

Elise Hogan, daughter of Renee Hogan, got a hole in one while playing golf at Village Links in Plymouth.  She is nine years old and a third grader at Alden.

Timothy Connolly graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Merrimack College.

Katherine Scully Lawson received a BA in environmental geography and Megan Elizabeth Reinhart received a BA in art and art history and geography from Colgate University recently.

Molly O’Sullivan graduated from Westminster School during the school’s 124th commencement ceremony held May 26 on the campus in Simsbury, Conn.

The following students graduated from Quinnipiac University on May 20:  Brian Byrne, BA in film, video and interactive media, Daniella DiCarlo, BS in biology, Bridget Duffy, BS in nursing, Gregory Polcari, BA in communications and Robert Schnibbe, BA in communications.
