Duxbury Police report they responded to a Stetson Place house party Sunday morning that resulted in the arrest of one man for drug possession with intent to distribute and the placement of a highly intoxicated girl in protective custody.
Police were called to the rented home at about 2:15 a.m. by neighbors who complained of noise. When officers arrived, they discovered approximately 100 party-goers and noticed Matthew Stevens, 22, fleeing the scene. As police tried to contain the crowd and check for criminal activity, they noticed an intoxicated minor fleeing the scene and attempting to unlawfully enter a neighbor’s house.
The police returned hours later and discovered Stevens and others had returned to the home. Investigating officers then discovered inside the house two large plastic bags containing what appeared to be marijuana prepared for sale and distribution. Stevens then attempted to flee by climbing onto a roof, but was apprehended by police. He is charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, being the keeper of a disorderly house and disturbing the peace. |
