The state's legislative leaders recently handed out committee appointments. Here's where Duxbury's legislators wound up: Senate Bob Hedlund: Post Audit and Oversight, Global Warming and Climate Change, Community Development and Small Business, Housing, Public Health, Transportation. House Dan Webster: Joint Committee on Financial Services (ranking member), Joint Committee on Housing (ranking member), Joint Committee on the Judiciary, House Committee on Ways and Means. Tom Calter: Personnel and Administration, Higher Education, Veterans and Federal Affairs. Here is the breakdown, courtesy of Beacon Hill Roll Call, of the amount of additional annual stipends that representatives receive for serving in various positions appointed by Speaker DeLeo.
